Doctor Who and The Pirates - Meets -

A painful, dragging and utterly insignificant story so ill-conceived as to have little to offer. No doubt conceived as a fun romp, it wavers between the extremely boring and the positively embarrassing, which is a shame because it masks an important future plot point.

There has never been, and may never again be, a concept so ambitious, interesting and complex in Doctor Who's long history of story-telling. Requiring absolute concentration to follow, this paradoxical masterpiece has to be heard to be believed!

An inventive and diverting story far more fitting as a sequel to the Three Doctors than Arc of Infinity which inspired it. The twist is absolutely superb and this alone makes the story worth listening to.

At 7 episodes length this story dragged a little in eagerness to exploit Molloy's Davros. Not just a political story this stands unique as a comm-ercial thriller. Initially confusing flashbacks litter the story, add a lot to Davros' character and tamper a little with sacred Doctor Who lore.

MasterGhost Light - Meets - Keeper of Traken

This unmitigated forray into fantasy relies upon a character so far removed from the Doctor Who universe that is takes away any credibility built up initially. Despite some intrigue, McCoy is painful to listen to and the whole scenario is flawed on every level.

ZagreusDeadly Assassin - Meets - Five Doctors

40th anniversary Gallifreyan nonsense continues on from Neverland and brings the total story length to 16 episodes! This over-long, self-indulgant and meaningless story mostly drags, occasionally perks up and ends so stultifyingly as to cause concern for the 8th Doctor's future.

The Wormery - Meets - Warriors Gate

An interesting start and some characters with potential dont somehow carry this story anywhere particularly interesting. Iris is value for money but as the elements of the plot unfold each is more confusing and illogical than the last, ending in a tangled anti-climax.

ScherzoMind Robber - Meets - Deadly Assassin
Pace & Development:

An adventurous but largely unrewarding two-hander between The Doctor and Charley. The topics they discuss take Doctor Who into a very taboo and uncomfortable area which ultimately spoils the series. The sooner it returns to normal, the better.

Its hard to judge or mark a story when its lacking in structure, plot, direction, clarity, focus, an introduction or any normality. Its dialogue is good but where it leads is uncertain. If there was a satisfactory ending to this story it would appear to have been lost.

The Twilight Kingdom - Meets -

Doctor Who happily returns to what it is best - a mystery adventure on an alien world with a narrative that can be followed, characters whose actions make sense and a baddie at the end. However the final scene throws the story arc shockingly in a new direction.
